About the Poll

In partnership with the Kyle House Group, Fraym conducted an online poll of 16,131 U.S. adults between June 26 and July 22, 2026 on their views of U.S. funding for global childhood immunization, malaria control, and broader global health programs. Results carry a 95% credible interval of plus or minus 1.1 percentage points; intervals are wider for subgroups.

Once respondents learned what these programs cost ($550 million annually — roughly 0.2% of the federal budget) and what they’ve achieved (21 million lives saved since 2000), support further rose to 82% nationally.

Fraym leveraged its FUSEfraym AI/ML technology, combining this large georeferenced poll with over 2,000 additional covariates available at the census-tract level (or more granularly), to produce modeled congressional district- and state-level estimates. This shows where these national topline findings hold locally across America.

What the Poll Found

Support Crosses Party Lines

Baseline support tops 70% in every political and demographic group surveyed — from 70% among MAGA Republicans to 87% among Progressive Democrats.

Facts Move the Needle

Once told what these programs cost and what they’ve achieved, national support rises from 78% to 82%.

Cutting Funding Has a Ballot-Box Cost

Candidates from either party lose a net 9 to 16 points on the generic congressional ballot after voting to cut this funding.

Multilateral Funding, Preferred 2-to-1

Told that every U.S. dollar is matched by roughly $8 from other countries, Americans favor pooled, multilateral funding over direct bilateral aid, 50% to 28%.
